So it has been far, far too long since I posted anything on here! I had such an unproductive summer due to having to get a 'normal/boring' job to pay for life and then illnesses happened and all sorts but I am changing all of that as of last week! I'm back getting work done I've got a list of competitions I want to enter and I am determined to do this Illustration thing! So keep an eye out I will make a success of this if its the last thing I do. And here is a little Halloween picture to prove that I am back.
And if you really really like it you can buy it in my society6 shop right here!
This is my entry for a book cover competition set by Hawkwood Books! Its a good job I went to see my tutors about it today because I'd somehow given the author a completely different name which could have been embarrassing but it's all sorted now and ready to hand in! . . For some reason it looks fluorescent on here but it's not actually that bright in real life.
A couple of my FMP pictures. They all still need a bit of tweaking especially the last one because I haven't tried to tackle his hands and feet on yet! And the butterfly one because I'm not happy with its eye! I've just got to keep trudging on! Just a few weeks left now..
These are some quick mock ups of one idea of part of my final major project. I want to create a little pack of fact cards about all the animals I'm using with a picture of the animal on the front and information about them on the back. This picture here isn't the one I'll use, this is just a section of a bigger picture I did earlier today!
Finally a piece of finished work! This is my entry for a competition where we have to produce an illustration for an ethical, moral and worthwhile cause so I chose reforestation because I think it's important! Made partly out of paper and then edited together on photoshop.
A few variations of a Valentine's day card competition entry for Hallmark. Not sure which one I like best yet. I stole my ladybird picture idea with this but I think penguins are more romantic than ladybirds ..some how! That sounds ridiculous but its just the truth!
This is my moodboard for my FMP. I wasn't really sure if I was doing it how I was meant to but then I decided it didn't really matter because it's full of stuff that inspires me and I think that's more important than whether or not it's right! The left side is full of illustrations that I like and in the style (cut out paper/card) that I want to do my final work in and then the right side is full of images of Russian landscapes/architecture and pattern because my project is going to be based on one of Tchaikovsky's opera's so I want there to be a bit of Russian influence in my final work! And that's about it really!! Excited to get started now.
